INWARD
BOUND is a research and service
practice of Dr. Oliver Markley.
Now
in active retirement from organizational
employment, I find that the core of my personal/professional
mission is to "free the future" for individuals,
couples, work teams and executives in ways
that are in alignment with and guided by
their Higher Self or Soul aspect of consciousness.
To do this in as clear and unencumbered
fashion as possible, I find myself Guided
to make this work as free from commercial,
religious, or other sectarian "paradigms"
as possible. (More about this in the "costs"
section below.)
At
the Stanford Research Institute from 1968 to 1978,
I led a visionary study, Changing Images of Man,
that pioneered the idea of paradigm change for the
economy and the whole of society, not just a scientific
discipline. My work since then has been about developing
"appropriate technologies" for personal and planetary
transformation. Guided visionary journeys inward
are a "best practice" toward this end.
From
1978 to 2000 I taught at the graduate program in
Studies of the Future at the University of Houston-Clear
Lake-the world's first degree granting academic
program in this important area of inquiry-where
my course in Visionary Futures was a productive
laboratory in which I investigated, developed and
tested a wide variety of tools and techniques for
personal and professional intuition and visionary
transformation.

Although educated as a design engineer
and social psychologist, my career focus
has been that of a research futurist,
consultant, teacher and guide, specializing
in individual and group visioning and
depth intuition for personal/ professional
guidance and strategic effectiveness.
By
way of background, my life and work
is informed and inspired, both by historical
teachers such as Lao Tzu, Guatama Buddha,
Jesus, Patanjali, Rumi, Ramakrishna,
Aurobindo and Olaf Stapledon; and by
mentors with whom I have personally
worked, such as Donald Campbell, Carl
Rogers, Joseph Campbell and Willis Harman.
My
professional resume as may be seen at
http://www.owmarkley.org/resume.htm. |

| The
tools and techniques that have best stood
the test of time with external audiences
in business and other sectors of society
form the corpus of INWARD BOUND offerings.
They
are well-tested, effective and fun.
